Next "Close 2 the Edge" March 19th

The next installment of Close 2 the Edge will be Friday, March 19. Remember that this party takes place every 3rd Friday of the month. This month should be great because it just so happens that the "Fresh Fest" is also going down at DAR Constitution Hall. So make sure to go check out the show which is featuring Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, Biz Markie, Whodini & Salt N Peppa. Afterwords come by the Black Cat to dance to more classic Hip Hop. We may even have some special guests in the house.

Brand Nubian at Liv

Last night I was fortunate enough to be able to see one of my favorite Hip Hop groups of all time. Brand Nubian was at Liv last night on U Street and those in attendance were treated with a great show. It was also good to have all three of the original founding members present. Here is a little piece of video I was able to shoot from last night's show. If you are a Hip Hop fan make sure to check out "Close 2 the Edge" every 3rd Friday at the Black Cat.

"Close 2 the Edge" is back this Friday

"Close 2 the Edge" DC's only party dedicated to Hip Hop music & culture returns to the Black Cat this Friday (and every 3rd Friday of the month).

Pull out your dopest throwback Hip Hop gear and come out and celebrate the golden era of Hip Hop. Special guest DJ Scotty Rock from the World Famous Butta Team will join Dredd. Doors at 9pm.

This party is the ultimate night for music fans, especially those who like to dance.  It features the music of three of the most prolific performers of our time.  It's a non-stop journey through the catalogs of Prince, Madonna & Michael Jackson.  What else needs to be said?

So join me on Thursday, February 18th at the historic 9:30 Club for a special night.  As usual I will be joined by Robin Bell who will put together a special video mix.
